A grief-stricken therapist begins telling her clients exactly what she’s thinking

When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to appear on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford-type” character and was going to be involved in casting people like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least pitch it to Ford, thinking he would immediately turn it down, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had been pitched the project, generating interest from other notable actors.

And Jessica is perfect
He has the weird, idiotic energy that this role needs. Her humor is perfect for the dialogue. This is a new way of dramatizing situations. No special characteristics, just an attractive personality with a dash of quirk and a family background that goes a little beyond the ordinary, but is still relatable.
He would immediately lose his license
Of course, Jimmy’s behavior as a therapist is completely absurd. Simply impossible. But in drama, we allow metaphorical situations. And in this scenario, we feel a strong convenience of the decisions.

We need to give credit to the writers and try to get the message across. It’s easy and fun for me.
