Salesforce Business Analyst

The Candidate will perform highly advanced product management, requirement gathering, and documentation as part of a project team with direction and guidance from the Project Management Office and Applications Services Management. The Candidate must have a strong comprehension of what the customer is trying to achieve and develop a pipeline to translate that information to create the prioritized product backlog for the development team using an Agile/Scrum methodology. This position entails a candidate who is very organized and possesses analytical thinking with strong communication skills as they will need to see through the eyes of the customer, helping them extract functional requirements using industry-leading business process mapping and reengineering methodologies that facilitate a clean, well-organized backlog that translates well to a development team leading to the delivery of successful projects. The worker’s primary goal will be to drive the customer’s product vision into reality with the help of the project team.

Client will require the Candidate to work on the following initiatives and will perform advanced product management tasks such as:

· Ability to turn a product vision into an applicable strategy that can be supported by business and IT management

· Able to analyze and interpret technical information, including industry standards, statutes, administrative rules, procedures, and system documentation; to translate user/business needs into a technical style; to communicate technical instructions to system users; to analyze, evaluate, and integrate business rules into system requirements; to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions; and to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

· Conducts in-depth interviews with Business SMEs, Business Product Manager and Business division stakeholders to elicit and thoroughly understand critical business processes, functions, and problems.

· Identifies ways to improve and modernize each specific process via automation.

· Partner with business SMEs and agile product teams to gather requirements and build product roadmaps that will be incorporated into the broader agency product portfolio plan

· Participate in research to identify new opportunities for new and existing features and functionalities

· Create product backlog with Themes, Epics, User stories

· Accepts work built by scrum teams and works with Business Product Manager, Lead SME, Product Manager and IT determines if product is shippable.

· Regularly attends sprint ceremonies and collaborates with the development team(s)

· Participating in all phases of SDLC, including release planning, analysis & design, user story recording/prioritization and software development.

· Performs acceptance testing of the user stories developed.

· Collaborates with the team to Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.

· Providing guidance and knowledge sharing to existing development staff.

Years Required/Preferred Experience

8 Required Experience with serving as a liaison between the business community and IT teams.

8 Required Experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business processes and systems and user needs

8 Required Experience with application development as an agile/scrum product owner/business analyst

8 Required Experience with customer focused user experience design

5 Required Experience with Agile development experience with Scrum, Kanban

5 Required Experience with writing acceptance criteria-based user stories

5 Required Experience with analytical thought process to aid with prioritization and negotiation

5 Required Experience with highly complex application security requirements

5 Required Experience with organizing user acceptance testing per sprint and end to end

4 Required Experience with story mapping

4 Required Experience with Atlassian Jira

4 Required Experience with completing system documentation

3 Required Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Project, and Visio

3 Required Proficient with common collaboration products such as Microsoft Teams & SharePoint, Cisco WebEx, and Atlassian Confluence

5 Preferred Experience working with enterprise software solutions as a developer

4 Preferred Experience using Salesforce Grants Manager

3 Preferred Experience working with enterprise architectural design

3 Preferred Experience in establishing, documenting, and communicating standards, best practices, fixes, and providing system direction & recommendation

3 Preferred Certified Salesforce Business Analyst

2 Preferred Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)

2 Preferred Salesforce Requirements Gathering experience

2 Preferred Experience with 508 Compliance/Web Accessibility

2 Preferred Experience with Information Security Office Compliance

2 Preferred Experience with department, company, or agency agile transformation

1 Preferred Experience with Service Now ticketing and workflow automation platforms

1 Preferred Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS)

1 Preferred Salesforce Admin, App Builder Certified

1 Preferred Salesforce Trailhead Ranger Status

1 Preferred Salesforce Trailhead Super badges

1 Preferred Salesforce Admin certification
