Appears in AniMat' Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022)
Narrative
Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that sends them lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew”; and more stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young siblings is the same one that Chewbacca’s family watches in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).
I think the series is great so far, but one problem really annoys me: the length
When I watched the first episode, I was so happy that it was about 40 minutes long. Then came the second episode: if you include the flashback and exit credits, it’s not even 25 minutes. If I get 25 minutes of a series every week, I have to watch what happened the week before.
And as for the actors: they’re kids
As soon as you can’t really get lost in space, you’re warmed up to it, it’s over. Incredibly unsatisfying! I probably won’t watch it for months and I’ll try to avoid spoilers so I can watch the whole thing next year.
It’s clear they don’t have years of acting training
That said, the main characters are likable, the music is appropriate, and the plot isn’t too kid-friendly. After two episodes, I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next, but unfortunately, I won’t find out until next year. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
